One of the things I want my house to have… a veranda! Nothing fancy. A simple one like the one above will do. Just a place where I can stare at cars and people passing by. Or a place where I can get some air and think.
Have a great Sunday everyone!

One thing I hate about the neighborhood I live in is the fact that some of my neighbors are so darn inconsiderate about the peace and quiet of others. Weekly videoke sessions. At least thrice or four times a week beer binge sessions. And when they converse, you can hear it even in your sleep!
My dad knows 99% of our neighbors. 1% are renters whom he doesn’t see. I know some of the older ones. Knowing our neighbors gives us a bit of a reassurance that when we are away from home, someone else will somehow find the time to look after our house. But I do believe that as we grow older, we value peace and quiet more. That’s how it is with us. My sisters and I as well as my dad can’t tolerate the ‘havoc’ the weekly sessions is doing to our peace of mind. We are always thinking that the beer drinking sessions will turn into a fight. We can’t rest easy when someone else is still out and there are men drinking next door.
I do wish 2012 will give us a chance to finally relocate to a neighborhood that is peaceful and quiet.

I am a bookworm. I need to have at least three books with me all the time. Three because I read depending on my mood. Unless the novel is so compelling I need to finish it in one seating, then I read leisurely, normally three days or so for one novel.
The side table above is perfect for me. I can put my books there as well as a magazine or two I am reading in between the novels. I can also put my journal there.
I will have that one copied and custom-made for me!
