QC Girl's Nook

I am always dreaming of what I want to have for my own house. This blog will hold that dream. And my love for the interior…

Scary period of their lives

For months and months they were all scared about the birth defect of the beautiful baby boy. It took them a while to finally gather their thoughts and look into the possibility that the defect was not the fault of the mother. Yes, she took antidepressants but she didn’t know that it could have that kind of side effect.

They are still in the scary period of their lives but they are already taking steps to correct the mistake done. They already contacted O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath – Personal Injury Lawyers – 808 West Avenue, Austin, TX. 78701 – 512-494-9949 and have asked them for help. A Prozac Lawsuit will be filed very soon.

Concerned friends

When my friends came over for a visit, they told me about someone we all know from way back. The person was suffering from cancer and is fighting for his life. They told me he got the cancer from actos that he was taking for his diabetes. He later on found out about the cancer and the link when he researched about it.

We were at the patio and it was still a bit warm from the sun. It was early evening but I could already feel the chill in the air and it’s most likely from the discussion about the sick person.

Small space library

Book Nook

Today is the last day of November. As soon as December 1st hits I am sure there will be chaos in shopping malls and tiangges everywhere! Are you ready with your shopping list? Are you done giving out a copy of your wishlist?

I have one thing on my Christmas wishlist… my very own house!

And one that has a book nook/small space library in it!

RT: Breakfast nook

Porch

RubyTuesday

I love having a breakfast nook out of the house. Like the one above! I can already picture myself too tired from a late night of working and having my coffee while the sun is already mightily shining down.

Love!

Happy Tuesday to all!

Circular blue room

Lovely Room

Smiling Sally

I love rooms in the house where the sun can come shining in. Natural light is what I want inside the house. And this circular blue room that is more of a receiving room than a living room is something that will be part of my future home. Don’t you just love how bright and vibrant the room is?

Happy Monday everyone!

A simple veranda

Simple Veranda

One of the things I want my house to have… a veranda! Nothing fancy. A simple one like the one above will do. Just a place where I can stare at cars and people passing by. Or a place where I can get some air and think.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Need to relocate

One thing I hate about the neighborhood I live in is the fact that some of my neighbors are so darn inconsiderate about the peace and quiet of others. Weekly videoke sessions. At least thrice or four times a week beer binge sessions. And when they converse, you can hear it even in your sleep!

My dad knows 99% of our neighbors. 1% are renters whom he doesn’t see. I know some of the older ones. Knowing our neighbors gives us a bit of a reassurance that when we are away from home, someone else will somehow find the time to look after our house. But I do believe that as we grow older, we value peace and quiet more. That’s how it is with us. My sisters and I as well as my dad can’t tolerate the ‘havoc’ the weekly sessions is doing to our peace of mind. We are always thinking that the beer drinking sessions will turn into a fight. We can’t rest easy when someone else is still out and there are men drinking next door.

I do wish 2012 will give us a chance to finally relocate to a neighborhood that is peaceful and quiet.

Perfect side table for me!

cool-side-table

I am a bookworm. I need to have at least three books with me all the time. Three because I read depending on my mood. Unless the novel is so compelling I need to finish it in one seating, then I read leisurely, normally three days or so for one novel.

The side table above is perfect for me. I can put my books there as well as a magazine or two I am reading in between the novels. I can also put my journal there.

I will have that one copied and custom-made for me!

Cozy place

I keep seeing friends in Facebook doing some stay-cation (staying somewhere for a brief vacation of sorts) somewhere almost every weekend. So I thought if I have the money to burn for a weekend stay-cation somewhere, where will I go?

I think somewhere near the mall or a food strip. A cozy place where I can bring my laptop and write to my heart’s content. Do nothing but think and rest. Watch TV and just laze around.

Cozy Place

A cozy place where I can possible read all day and night long and not have to get up to do household chores.

There’s an inn several blocks away from here. They offer a place that already has a living room of your own, a mini kitchen, a bedroom and a veranda. I would love to stay there if given a chance.

How about by end of January next year when I am done paying some dues?

Fab lamp shades

Fab Lamp Shade

Fab Lamp Shade

Sleep. It’s a luxury for most people, especially for people like me who work all the time. Even on weekends. So when it comes to bedrooms, I have this belief nowadays that it has to be a haven for the person sleeping there. Everything in it should be the best and will be conducive to a peaceful sleep.

Including the kind of lamp in the bedroom.

I found these two lamps online. How adorable are the handmade shades? I love both!

Don’t you?
